B.fest is Brighton’s annual youth arts festival, celebrating the creativity, ideas and cultural expression of young people. Organised through Brighton Youth Centre, the festival puts young people at the heart of the process, giving them opportunities to plan, curate, design, exhibit and perform.
Its wide-ranging programme reflects the diversity of contemporary youth culture, bringing together music, dance, theatre, comedy, film, visual art, fashion, skateboarding, gaming, creative writing and hands-on workshops. Previous programmes have included live gigs, exhibitions, street art, printmaking, drag, stand-up comedy and collaborative creative projects.
More than a showcase, B.fest offers a platform for emerging talent and encourages young people to shape the cultural life of their city. Through performances, exhibitions and participatory events, it creates opportunities for experimentation, collaboration and self-expression.
Taking place during the October half-term, B.fest brings a week of youth-led creativity to Brighton, connecting young artists, performers and audiences across the city.
