The legendary British luxury perfumer began as a barber's shop on London's Jermyn Street in 1872. Since then, it has opened boutiques on a global scale. Over the years, it has been awarded numerous Royal Warrants; a copy of the most recent from His Majesty the King is proudly displayed in the Brighton store amongst other historical brand memorabilia. Elsewhere, perfume bottles form an orderly oval on the central display table and glisten in tall glass cabinets.

Penhaligon's current collection fuses timeless classics with a contemporary twist and eye-catching bottle designs. At its heart is Halfeti (£215 - 100ml), an icon in the perfumer's fragrance portfolio, now celebrating its tenth anniversary. Bold, unmistakable, and enduringly captivating, its unique blend of fruit, spices, and deep notes of jasmine and rose, leaves a delicious trail of fresh dewiness in its wake. Just follow your nose to the Brighton boutique this spring and try it for yourself.
